Summer Birch 2023 was custom created for a client who bought my Spring Birch, 2023, got it home and decided she loved it so much she wanted a larger one!  I can make more - just for you - any size and colors. Want a Fall Birch?  No problem. This beauty measures 12” wide and 19” tall. It sits on a custom stand which is interchangeable. Creating this piece took many hours of laying colored powdered glass onto a clear background and overlaying with fine and medium frit (ground glass). Cutting the trees and painting the natural knots and blemishes that make birch so lovely. Addition of hand made branches and then leaves of multiple greens in course frit. All topped by medium and course clear frit as a final touch. Firing in the kiln takes about 18 hours.
